Residential Houses for IDPs under construction in Gvishtibi Village

6 residential houses for IDPs in Gvishtibi Village undergo construction by the Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRDI). The project implementation is funded by the Government of Georgia at the cost exceeding GEL 28 million. Upon finalization of the project, 420 IDP households will be provided with housing.

 

Executive Director of MDF Giorgi Shengelia along with Tskaltubo Municipality Mayor Grigol Ioseliani visited the site of current works.

 

The project envisages accomplishment of the adjacent site to the residential buildings. There will be installed the street lighting and a playground will be arranged for children. Each building is to have its own parking, and ramps, asphalt concrete pavement will be applied to the roads and drainage systems will be regulated.  The residential apartments will be completely adapted to the people with disabilities. Except for 6 residential apartments, MDF will finalize the commenced construction of 2 residential houses as well, Bidding for which is already completed and evaluation procedures are being conducted. 

 

Construction of residential houses for IDPs is being implemented by MDF in other Municipalities of Georgia too. Creation of worthy living conditions for IDPs represents one of the main priorities of MDF.
