Implementation of infrastructural projects to commence in Velistsikhe Village

The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRDI) is to commence implementation of infrastructural projects in Velistsikhe Village of Kakheti Region. The works envisage rehabilitation-reconstruction of up to 55 residential houses located on central street of Velistsikhe Village and a theatre and a square being in Velistsikhe Village.

 

Executive Director of MDF Giorgi Shengelia and Kakheti Governor Irakli Kadagishvili inspected the rehabilitation projects in Velistsikhe Village. They talked about existing issues and the ways for their solution.

In addition to Velistsikhe, MDF plans development of public-recreation spaces, tourist objects and associated infrastructure in Kutaisi, Gori, in borough Stepantsminda, historical part of Telavi, Velistsikhe Village, Chvibiani and Zhibiani Villages of Ushguli Community and Laghami District of Mestia.

Implementation of urban renovation program for the cities of tourist potential will assist to employment of local population, improvement of their social and economic conditions and increase number of tourists.
