MRDI holds Open Day for IDP Housing

The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRDI) has held the Open Day for construction of residential houses of IDPs. The representatives of the construction companies were notified of the information on conditions of scheduled constructions of 6 new buildings for IDP housing in Zugdudi, Tskaltubo and Kutaisi. 

In attendance of the Open Day were Deputy Ministers of IDPs from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia Grigol Giogadze, Mamuka Tsotniashvili and Executive Director of MDF Giorgi Shengelia.  
MDF plans to construct the residential houses for IDPs in many regions of the country. To date the winner for construction of 3 residential houses for IDPs in Zugdidi as well as the one for construction of 6 buildings in Tskaltubo have been identified. 
MDF aims at the bidding procedures to be more transparent and effective. The interested companies will be enabled to be familiarized with the projects prior to bidding announcement in order to get prepared in a better way and open and equal conditions to be provided against background of competitive environment.
