Coast protection works under implementation in Kobuleti

The coast protection and boulevard arrangement works undergo implementation by the Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRDI). The project implementation is funded by the Government of Georgia (GoG) and its cost amounts to approximately GEL 6 million. Executive Director of MDF Giorgi Shengelia visited the site and inspected the works ongoing. 

 
The rehabilitation works envisage restoring of the 1.2 km coastline and arranging of the boulevard with the stone pavement.
Upon finalization of Kobuleti coast protection works, new boulevard will be arranged there, parameters of the coastline of the resort will be increased, and impact of waves due to gale will be decreased that will enable the tourists and local residents to make use of the protected and regulated coastline. 
Current works are to be completed prior to tourist season commencement.
