Internationally Standardized Sports Complex Opened in Village

Giorgi Shengelia, Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia, Sozar Subari, Advisor on Regional Affairs to the Prime Minister of Georgia and Irakli Kadagishvili, Governor of Kakheti Region  inaugurated the new internationally standardized sports complex in village Matani. The World Bank funded  GEL  1.5 million project was implemented by the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia.

 
The project involved full refurbishment of the complex,  arrangement of yard and stadium and rehabilitation of 1 km road in village Matani. 
Construction of the new, internationally standardized sports complex in village Matani will assist interested people in availing themselves of improved environment for exercising  and holding various international and local level sports tournaments. The named activities will contribute to introduction of healthy lifestyle amongst young people.   
Works were launched in March 2017 and were completed  in Spring of 2018.
