Well Arrangement Works Initiated in Demarcation Line Bordering Village Atotsi

The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia has commenced well arrangement works  in demarcation line bordering village Atotsi. The MDF is implementing the project for arrangement of chlorination plants and pressure pipeline in conflict zone bordering   17 villages of Gori, Kaspi and Kareli Municipalities.
 
The above-referred project did not provide for arrangement of water well in village Atotsi, however upon request of the local population, the MDF amended the contract and added works to be implemented in village Atotsi.   
 
„The Municipal Development Fund in cooperation with the European Investment Bank is proceeding with rehabilitation of water supply system in conflict zone bordering villages. At this stage, works for arrangement of well in village Atotsi were added to the contract; the named works are already in progress and will be completed in January of 2019.“ – stated Giorgi Shengelia, Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia. 
 
Works for arrangement of water wells in conflict zone bordering villages of Gori, Kaspi and Kareli Municipalities will be completed in January 2019, which will be followed by second stage works, to be completed in August, 2020.   After finalization of contracted works,  conflict zone bordering villages of Gori, Kaspi and Kareli Municipalities  will be provided with 24-hour water supply.
