Bidding for Mtskheta General Layout Announced

  The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRDI) has already announced the Bidding for development of general layout for the city of Mtskheta. The significance of Mtskheta was acknowledged by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, & Cultural Organization) when historical monuments of Mtskheta – Jvari Monastery, Svetitskhoveli Cathedral and Samtavro were entered the list of cultural heritage monuments of the world. The historical city of Mtskheta becomes more and more attractive for tourists. Increase of tourist flows conditions new requirements and capabilities that activates the economic activities and constructions. In order chaotic and nonsystematic development of the city infrastructure to be avoided, MRDI and the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of Georgia through active cooperation with UNESCO work on elaboration of controlling means by applying of which the historical value and significance of the city will be maintained on the one hand, and its natural development will not be impeded, on the other hand. 

 
 For that particular purpose, MDF of MRDI has already announced the Bidding for development of the General Layout (documentation for site development management) for Mtskheta. Deadline for submission of bids is determined as to be December 21st and the process of selection will commence.
