Kobi-Gudauri cable-way construction works ongoing

The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is implementing Kobi-Gudauri cable-way design-construction works.  The project at the cost of GEL 80,930,728.28  is backed by the Government of Georgia. Gagi Buadze, Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia together with his deputies Juansher Burchuladze and Ilia Ghudushauri was visiting the ongoing works’ site.

Kobi-Gudauri cable-way will have an approximate length of seven and half kilometers. Aside from the fact that skiers will be able to travel from Gudauri to Kobi, the problem of blocked road in bad weather and snowbound conditions will also be solved in Kazbegi and interested persons will be able to travel to Gudauri by means of the present cable-way.   Since the above-referred territory is situated on the northern slope of the mountain, it will be available for skiing till the end of spring.

Works will be completed by the end of current year.
