New sports complex construction in borough Stepantsminda

Construction of sports complex in borough Stepantsminda in Kazbegi municipality is in progress. Works are implmented by MDF in compliance with international standards. Project is financed by European Investment Bank and its total cost exceeds GEL 1,500 000.  

New building-structures are constructed within the framework of the project.  At this stage concrete walls are built and roofing works are in progress. Based on local population request climbing wall shall be added  for mountaineering lovers. Works will be finalized next year. Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Zurab Alavidze along with local authority representatives visited construction site.  According to statement made by minister, at this stage 11 sports complex and 35 mini stadiums are in active construction process  throughout Georgia, in order to make accessible sports infrastrcture in all regions and to promote healthy lifestyle in young generation.
