New Roads Opening in Tianeti Municipality

May 29, 2017

The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia has rehabilitated the access roads to Amaghleba (Ascension) Complex and Archili Monastery in Zhebota Village of Tianeti Municipality.

The First Deputy Executive Director of the Fund Juansher Burchuladze and Majoritarian Deputy for Tianeti Zakaria Qutsnashvili have visited the new roads.

There had been only the soil road on access roads to Archili Monastery in Zhebota Village; hence, traffic for population prior to rehabilitation had been complicated. The churchgoers and pilgrims had difficulties whilst accessing the Monastery, especially in rainy days. Henceforward, residents of the villages, pilgrims and tourists will be able to use the safe road.

The project has been funded by the European Investment Bank (EIB) and its cost amounts to  GEL  192 000. There have been arranged the drainages, yard entrances and parking lots within rehabilitation works. The works started in September 2016 and were finalized prior to the scheduled date, i.e. in May 2017.
