St. George Monastery in Tabakini to be provided with the new access road from September

The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia carries out rehabilitation of access road to St. George Monastery in Tabakini Village of Zetsaponi Municipality. The access road to the monument of Georgian architecture had been impassible for years, causing traffic issue. The residents of the villages located in the vicinity of St. George Monastery of Parsons, as well as the monks residing at the Monastery, along with the pilgrims and tourists will be able to utilize the safe road upon project completion. The project considers applying of concrete road. There have been employed 20 people at works. Zurab Alavidze, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia inspected the quality of accomplished works and current condition of facilities on site. The project has been funded out of the state budget and its cost amounts to GEL 921 173.86. The works are scheduled to be finalized in September 2017.
