Kobuleti Wastewater Treatment Plant Completion Works Ongoing

The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia  is implementing wastewater treatment plant construction works in town Kobuleti.   

Juansher Burchuladze, Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund was visiting the project site of ongoing works.  

As a result of project implementation, wastewater will be treated on permanent basis, which will minimize discharge of untreated water into the water bodies located in the town adjacent area.  The above-mentioned will considerably improve water quality in the coastline of Kobuleti seaside resort  and contribute to   development of recreational infrastructure.  Kobuleti population and tourist will have a long- standing problem solved.  

Total cost of works amounts to GEL 5 867 299.42, there are some 20 persons employed at the project site. The project is funded by the co-financing from the EBRD, Government of Netherlands, and   Government of Ajara Autonomous Republic.
