Children residing in Aspindza to go to improved and modern Kindergartens

The Municipal Development Fund of Regional Development and Infrastructure Ministry of Georgia has completed rehabilitation of two kindergartens in Aspindza Municipality with the financial support of the World Bank. Juansher Burchuladze, Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund has conducted the site visit aimed at surveying accomplished works.

 

Rehabilitation of kindergartens has been carried out in full compliance with international standards. Aimed at avoiding study process hindering, works were executed into 2 stages. The amortized walls and partitions have been dismantled within the project. The walls have been built up with block and lined with gypsum board material. There were installed the new doors and windows and flooring was arranged as well. The wet points, kitchen and a dining room were also arranged in accordance with modern standards. The kindergartens have been equipped with heating and ventilation systems, with replaced sewage and water supply systems. Besides internal infrastructure the Fund has performed also accomplishment works for the yard and building facing. The World Bank has allocated GEL 900101.60 towards rehabilitation of kindergartens. There were employed over 70 people at construction works.

As a result of the project implementation both kindergartens will serve 400 children instead of 250 ones.
