The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is implementing rehabilitation works for the 7 km road section in 6 villages of Sachkhere Municipality.  The project is funded by the European Investment Bank. Today, Juansher Burchuladze,  the Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia  was vising the project site.

The project envisages laying a 7km long asphalt-concrete pavement, with a 5 meter width carriageway. The project also envisages arrangement of concrete road ditches, curbs and metal drainpipes. Moreover, installation of road signs is also envisaged for safety purposes.

It is remarkable that the named road pavement actually   did not exist and it was impossible to travel on the road.  After completion of the road rehabilitation project, population of the villages Sairkhe, Gorisa, Modzvi, Jalaurta, Koreti and Chorvili will enjoy safe and comfortable conveyance.

There are 60 persons employed at the project site, majority of them are locals.
