The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia has completed rehabilitation of the Tamar Mepe Street and Kvaiti Neighborhood connecting 3,5km long road in Martvili Municipality. Project cost amounts to GEL  1,224,710.90; the project was implemented with financial assistance of the World Bank and co-financing from the Government of Georgia.  The mentioned road has not been subjected to repair for 30 years; due to this fact, the road pavement was amortized and the population was facing problems while travelling.   Today, the Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia, Juansher Burchuladze was visiting the rehabilitated road.

There were some 50 persons employed at the project site and majority of them were locals.  Completion of the named project will facilitate communication between two densely populated neighborhoods in Martvili; passenger conveyance will become safe and comfortable.   Construction works commenced in August of 2015 and were completed in January 2016.  A 3,5 km long asphalt-concrete pavement was arranged.  Except for the road pavement rehabilitation, engineering structures were also installed under the project.
