Memorandum of Cooperation Signed between the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia and Caucasus University

Today, the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and Caucasus University have signed the Memorandum of cooperation.   Under the Memorandum, students and graduates of the university will have opportunity to undergo on-the-job training, deepen their knowledge, and enhance qualification in the respective units of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia.     The signees of the memorandum are Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia, Juansher Burchuladze and President of the Caucasus University, Kakkaber Shengelia. 

According to the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia, contributing to enrichment of students’ knowledge is one of the top priorities. Based on above, by decision of the MDF management, the young people will be enabled to acquire practical skills and gain experience in various fields   (procurement, finances, management,  public relations, project design, project monitoring, international relations, etc.) which is very important for their career achievements.   

Under the Memorandum of Cooperation, students and graduates of the university will have an opportunity to receive information regarding openings and probations announced by the MDF from the original source.   Those students, which successfully undergo probation and meet all qualification requirements set by the MDF for their vacancies, will have access to employment in the MDF.     

 

Moreover, the MDF management met with the Caucasus University students.  At the meeting, the Head of Donor Relations and Project Management Unit held a presentation for the students and updated them in detail on the MDF activities.  The meeting was followed by Q&A session.  

 

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia, Davit Tabidze, Head of Donor Relations and Project Management Unit, Tengiz Gogotishvili, as well as the representatives of the HR group.  The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia is planning to sign such memorandums with other institutions of higher education as well.
