The MDF has Commenced Rehabilitation of the 4km Road in Village Chalaubani

The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia has commenced rehabilitation works for the 4km road in Gurjaani Municipality Village Chalaubani.  Project cost amounts to GEL   950 675,00 and it is backed by the World Bank.  Today, commencement of civil works was launched by the Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia - Juansher Burchuladze and local authorities.   The village Chalaubani road has not undergone rehabilitation since 1970, due to the above-mentioned fact, the road is deteriorated and the village population faces problems while travelling on it.  

Under the named project, a local importance 4km long depreciated road of Chalaubani will be subjected to full rehabilitation, in particular, asphalt concrete pavement and storm sewer will be arranged, and  the population will be provided with driveways to their private properties.  About 40 persons are employed at the project site. The project has commenced in November of current year and will be completed in the first quarter of 2016. As a result of project implementation the population will be able to travel in a safe and comfortable way. There are approximately 1200 people living in the village Chalaubani.
