Water Supply System Rehabilitation Works Ongoing in Tetritskaro Municipality

The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia is implementing water supply rehabilitation works in Tetritskaro Municipality.  Cost of the project backed by the European Investment Bank amounts to GEL 2 379 976,49. Currently, the Tetritskaro Municipality population is supplied with water according to the schedule, for 4-5 hours a day. After project completion, the Tetritskaro population will have a 24-hour water supply.   Today, the Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia, Juansher Burchuladze was visiting the water supply rehabilitation project site; he got into conversation with the people employed at the construction site.    

As a result of water supply rehabilitation project, water supply services will be improved for 1800 households. Moreover, 730 customers will be metered under the project.  Rehabilitation of two,  1500 and 600 ton reservoirs is in progress.   The chlorination facility is also undergoing rehabilitation/reconstruction works.  A 23,5 km long pipeline will get replaced under the project,   a completely new pipeline will be laid along the  1,5 km section.  Some 30-40 persons are employed at the project site.  

 

Following project completion, Tetritskaro Municipality population, which receives water for 4-5 hours per day, will benefit from the 24-hour water supply service. The project will be completed in the first quarter of 2016.
