Within the framework of public and private sectors partnership MDF will support ltd Shukhman Vines Georgia in road, water supply and drainage systems arrangement.

By World Bank financial support within the framework of public and private sectors partnership MDF  supported Shukhman Vines Georgia in infrastructure arrangement. In particular 1 km road up to the hotel was rehabilitated, water supply and drainage systems were arranged which resulted in creation of additional 50 workplaces in the company and expanded business. Today government and World Bank representatives opened advanced hotel and rehabilitated infrastructure.

 

Opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Dimiri Kumsiashvili,   Minister of Agriculture of Georgia  Otar Danelia, first deputy minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Ilia Darchiashvili, MDF executive director Juansher Burchuladze,  World Bank sustainable development projects coordinator in South Caucasus Ahmed Eiveida and Governor of Kakheti region Irakli Shiolashvili.  By World Bank financial support MDF arranged infrastructure with total cost of GEL 846,199,89 to the company.  Infrastructure arrangement is beneficial also for  local population as village Kisiskhevi population actively uses rehabilitated road, arranged water supply and drainage channels.  

 

Besides the fact that within the frame of public and private partnership private company expanded its business, number of tourists has been also increased.  Arranged infrastructure strengthened agriculture. In its turn ltd Shukhran Vines Georgia invested USD  2 million  and created additional 50 employment opportunities. Within the framework of partnership business  enterprise has undertaken obligation to construct vine cellar and to increase existing number of 8 rooms up to 23 in the hotel. As a support outcome to Ltd Shukhran Vines Georgia opportunity was given to one more entrepreneur to expand its business, which is significant both in social economic and tourist increase point of view for Kakheti region. Totally more than 250 persons were hired by the company among them 90 % locals.

Company establisher German benefactor Burkhrad Shurkhrad hosted guests at opening ceremony.

In 2014 Ltd Shukhman Vines Georgia used agro loan and doubled production, which resulted in production of more than million and half bottles of vine and export in more than 20 countries. Company was established in 2009 and its total investment amounts to Euro 6,5 million.
