Water supply system rehabilitation in Likani and Tsgveri is in progress

Municipal Development Fund of Georgia implements water supply system rehabilitation in Likani and Tsagveri. Minister of regional Development and Infrastructure Nodar Javakhishvili, first deputy minister Ilia Darchiashvili, MDF executive director Juansher Burchuladze and UWC director Nikoloz Kizikurashvili visited ongoing works.

 

After works finalization water supply and drinking water quality will be improved significantly in Likani and Tsagveri. Population of adjacent villages in particular Timotesubani and Daba will also benefit from new system.

Infrastructural work are implemented by EIB financial support and more than GEL 3 million is allocated, approximately 120 person is hired on works most of them locals.

 

Project envisages the following: rehabilitation of old reservoir in Tsagveri and Likani, arrangement of chlorination station and construction of new open reservoir, main pipeline and distribution network. Rehabilitation of Tsagveri-likani water supply network commenced in 2015  and its finalization is planned in 2016.
