Coastline cleaning equipment was consigned to Municipalities

By Municipal Development Fund of Georgia 13 units of coastline cleaning equipment were consigned to Ozurgeti, Zugdidi and Poti municipalities. Equipment which was purchased by World Bank’s financial support cost GEL 2 100 380.5. Utilization of cleaning equipment will promote purifying the following resorts coastlines: Ureki Anaklia Poti, Shekvetili and Grigoleti. It’s already several months that Black Sea coastline is being purified by facility on a daily basis. Today MDF executive director Juansher Burchuladze and first deputy minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Ilia Darchiashvili along with local government representatives visited borough Ureki and checked operation of cleaning equipment. They went into conversation with equipment operators who were trained by German specialists hired by MDF.    

Municipal Development Fund consigned 9 unit of equipment to Ozurgeti municipality, with total cost of GEL 1,342,903.91 , 2 cleaning equipment with ( coastline cleansing equipment- tractor and tractor drawn) were consigned to  Poti municipality and  2 units to Zugdidi municipality totally with cost of  GEL 757,476,64. 

MDF hired German trainer for the staff selected beforehand by municipalities in order to train them on equipment utilization.
