Rehabilitation of the road in the village Shalauri

Municipal Development Fund at the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia implements road rehabilitation project in the village Shalauri in Telavi municipality. The First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Ilia Darchiashvili inspected ongoing works. Rehabilitation of 1 km long access road to the Shalauri wine cellar is being implemented within the frameworks of the private and public sector partnership, by financial support of the World Bank. In parallel with a road rehabilitation, new drainage network will be arranged.

Shalauri wine cellar management undertakes to build a hotel near the wine cellar after the end of the road rehabilitation, which will contribute to the development of tourism and the local infrastructure.

The road had been damaged over the years, after rehabilitation, as for the  wine cellar guests, as for the residents of Shalauri, movement will be safe and comfortable.  The project, which cost is 250 233 GEL, will be completed in the autumn of the current  year.
