The sub-project is being implemented under the Second Regional Development Project (RDP 2) supported by the World Bank. The sub-project envisages rehabilitation of existing infrastructure to improve the appearance of the town Tskaltubo and ensure good conditions for tourism development. The SP includes: rehabilitation of storm-water drainage system in the central part of the Park and on the “Tsivi Tba”, rehabilitation of the roads in the park, arrangement of pedestrian and bicycle pathways of Tskaltubo Town’s central park.

The objective the Second Regional and Municipal Infrastructure Development project is to improve the efficiency and reliability of targeted municipal services and infrastructure. This will be achieved by investing in high-priority local infrastructure improvements, and by supporting LSGs in enhancing their capacity and systems for service delivery.

Sustainable Urban Transport Investment Program (ADB Loans 2655-GEO, 2879-GEO, 2880-GEO) aims at development of the efficient, reliable and affordable urban infrastructure and service improvement.

In June of 2013, an independent Audit Company „Moore Stephens“ conducted an audit of the year 2012 operations of the Fund (in terms of projects as well as the Fund-as an entity).

This Resettlement Policy Framework (RPF), covering involuntary resettlement and land acquisition issues has been prepared by the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia.

The project aims at modernization of the 6.8 km road section (from Phonichala to Rustavi) of Tbilisi-Rustavi Highway with a total length of 17.4 km. This Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) has been prepared for this Section, as part of the ADB support (ADB Loan 2879-GEO) in developing the detailed design of the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management and Supervision of the Tbilisi-Rustavi Urban link (Section 2).

The land acquisition and resettlement plan (LARP) is prepared within the scope of theTbilisi-Rustavi Motor Road (Section 2) modernization project.

Anaklia Coastal Improvement Project (Phase II) is one of the components of the Sustainable Urban Trasport Investment Program (SUTIP) which aims at Anaklia shoreline rehabilitation, restoration of the full profile of beaches to the possible extent, through selection of the most optimum type and design of hydro-technical coast protecting structures.
