Environmental Management Framework for the Second Regional Development Project
Environmental Management Framework is prepared for the purposes of implementing the World Bank-supported Second Regional Development Project (RDP II) in Imereti Region.
The EMF identifies a range of required environmental and social management measures that need to be taken during the planning, design, and construction and operation phases of RDP II, in order to ensure compliance with the national legislation and the World Bank’s safeguard policies. EMF covers environmental, cultural, and social aspects of project management.

Rehabilitation and Construction of Bridges in Lentekhi Municipality
The subproject (SP) is being implemented under the Second Regional and Municipal infrastructure Development Project (RMIDP 2). The presented SP envisages rehabilitation and construction of the small bridges on the rivers: Mukhra, Chvelpi spring, Chonshura in the following villages: Tvibi, Ediki, Chvelpi and Durashi as well as improvement of streets in the village Lentekhi and arrangement/rehabilitation of retaining walls on internal roads of the village Kheledi.

Audit Report
In 2015, independent audit companies „SOS-Audit“ and „Grant Thornton” have conducted audit of the MDF year 2014 activities (of the projects and the MDF as an entity). Georgian Sustainable Urban Transport Investment Program (SUTIP), Biannual Environmental Monitoring Reports (EMRs) for SUTIP 1 and SUTIP 2
Sustainable Urban Transport Investment Program (ADB Loans 2655-GEO, 2879-GEO, 2880-GEO) aims at development of the efficient, reliable and affordable urban infrastructure and service improvement. Biannual Environmental Monitoring Reports for the projects implemented under the first and second tranches of the SUTIP, have been prepared by the Municipal Development Fund and cover the period of July- December, 2015.

Rehabilitation and safety Measures of Access road to Village Gogasheni in Akhalkalaki Municipality
The SP “Arrangement of Tourism Infrastructure at Sapara Monastery” is being implemented under the Third Regional Development Project (RDP III), supported by World Bank. The SP envisages arrangement of gravel cover in 7 sections of the road (total length -545m), arrangement of asphalt-concrete cover at the end (the side of Vardzia) of the road, installation of steel guardrails, road signs, concrete parapet of special profile and

Updated IEE for Modernization of Tbilisi-Rustavi Urban Road Project (Section 2)
The Government of Georgia signed a loan agreement of USD 60 million with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) under a MFF to implement Tbilisi~Rustavi Urban road link (Section 2) construction project. The modernization of road section-2 of 6.8 km from Phonichala to Rustavi forms a part of Tbilisi-Rustavi Highway with a total length of 17.4 km.
The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia (MDFG) is the project executing, implementing and disbursing agency. The objective of the Project is to develop an efficient, affordable, and environmentally sustainable transportation system that forms a part of the south-east route of the country. The project will focus on the improvement of the existing transport services linking Rustavi to Tbilisi. The Project targeted measures and specific facilities such as provision of interchanges, underpass, bridge road widening, bus stops, retaining wall, footbridge included to ensure a quick, safe and reliable bus services and guarantee proper physical connection with Tbilisi and Rustavi at the entrance of the city. The Program was developed as the Government’s response to the transportation problems in urban areas, which include large traffic volumes between Tbilisi and Rustavi route causing increasing delays.

Daba Mestia Leo Pilpani Public and Folklore Theatre (Mestia Municipality) Rehabilitation Sub-Project
The sub-project (SP) is being implemented under the Second Regional and Municipal Infrastructure Development Project (RMIDP 2). The SP envisages rehabilitation of Leo Pilpani Public and Folk Theater in Mestia Municipality. The existing theater is a two-storied building (area 806.3 m2) and was constructed in 80-ies of the past century. The Theater currently is nonfunctional.

Preservation Measures for Katskhi and Ubisa Monasteries Sub-Project
The presented sub-project envisages the following works: restoration of buildings of Katskhi Cathedral complex and Church Belfry, fortified wall around the Cathedral and site improvement.

Preservation Measures for Katskhi and Ubisa Monasteries Sub-Project
The subproject (SP) envisages restoration of St. George Church (IX century), a 4-floor tower (AD 1141), fragments of a 12th-century defensive wall and several other buildings and structures. The site is acting Monastery open for visitors. Ubisa Monastery is widely visited by local and international tourists.
