Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia Elguja Khokrishvili and his Deputy Giorgi Somkhishvili met with representatives of the Central Office of the ADB. At the meeting the parties discussed several important issues, which inter alia included announcement of bidding for the first and third sections of Tbilisi- Rustavi highway. Moreover, by request of the MDF management during the highway construction process unskilled labor will be hired from the local population and as a result of above-mentioned dozens of locals will get employment. Representatives of the ADB Central Office agreed to this proposal.

The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia has completed rehabilitation of Tskaltubo water supply system. The contractor firm “New Construction” has repaired a pump station. Old water pipes were replaced with a pressure pipeline. Polyethylene and steel pipes were placed in earth. 2 water pumping devices and electric equipment were installed.

The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia offers job to a highly skilled international expert to provide consultancy services for the metro line construction works. The main scope of services of the Consultant includes review of the detailed design for extension of the second line of metro and construction of the “University” metro station.

Estimated cost of services amounts to USD 28, 830.

The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia has completed rehabilitation of Street Lighting in the central part of Telavi city.

Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia Elguja Khokrishvili together with the Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Shota Murgulia, Chairman of the Roads Department of Georgia Zakaria Khundzikashvili and Director of the United Water Supply Company of Georgia Archil Tsabutashvili was visiting Switzerland, where they participated in the Conference dedicated towards promoting “Sustainable Infrastructure Financing”.
