320 internally displaced families were given a house in Zugdidi
LEPL Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure (MRDI) in Zugdidi municipality has built 10 apartment buildings with the financial support of the German Bank for Reconstruction and Development (KFW). As a result of the project, 320 IDP families were provided with new homes. The project cost is Gel14, 463, 231.73. Over 200 people were employed in the project.

Sports Complex Reconstruction and Rehabilitation in Kaspi Municipality Is Underway
New international standard sports complex will be constructed in Kaspi municipality by the year’s end. Project is implemented by LEPL Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure (MRDI). Sports complex reconstruction and rehabilitation is financed by the World Bank and costs GEL1 630108,14. Executive Director of MDF Ilia Darchiashvili visited the ongoing construction today. About 30 people are involved in construction works.

Over 3000 Residents in Three Villages At the demarcation line to Have 24-hour Water Supply
Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRDI) with the financial support of the World Bank is carrying out rehabilitation of water supply system in the three villages at the demarcation line, in particular, Gori municipality villages Zeda Nikozi, Kveda Nikozi, and Zemo Khviti. Project cost is GEL3,386,397.86. Mr. Ilia Darchiashvili, Executive Director of MDF and representatives of local governments inspected the ongoing construction works today. As a result of the project, 880 households i.e. over 3000 persons in the three villages will be provided uninterrupted water supply.

Prime Minister Inspected Wide-Scale Infrastructural works in Tskaltubo
Irakli Gharibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia inspected wide-scale construction works undertaken within infrastructural projects in Tskaltubo municipality. Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure (MRDI) , with the World Bank’s financial support is carrying out complete rehabilitation of Tskhaltubo within the framework of Regional Development project. Project cost is over GEL 38 million, more than 500 people are employed. The work entered the final phase. The major part of the project will be completed by holiday season, and fully - in August.

1120 families residing in 9 villages of Shida Kartli will be provided with 24 hour water supply
Water supply works are under arrangement in 9 villages of dividing line of shida Kartli. Works are financed from state budget and are implemented by MDF , as a result of project implementation 1120 families residing in villages Didi Khurvaleti, Gugutiantkari, Koshka, Zardiantkari, Ditsi, Mereti, Tsagvli, Atotsa and Knolevi will be provided with uninterrupted water supply. Ongoing civil works were visited by MDF executive director Ilia Darchiashvili along with Gori municipality governor Davit Oniashvili who went into conversation with local population.

The population of Tsnori will have a continuous water supply
United Water Supply Company at the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure together with the Municipal Development Fund carries out large-scale infrastructure project for the improvement of water supply in Tsnori. As a result of the completion of the project, population will be supplied with high-quality water, by the new water network in continuous schedule.

Internal roads rehabilitation in town Gurjaani and village Mirzaani
MDF by World Bank financial support is implementing 4 streets rehabilitation in town Gurjaani and village Mirzaani. Within the scope of the project following streets of Gurjaani municipality are under rehabilitation: Besiki, Baratashvili and Chavchavadze, at the same time internal roads rehabilitation works are completed in village Mirzaani. Cost of the project is GEL 1 493 156,73. More than 30 workmen are hired on rehabilitation works. Today progress of the project was visited by MDF executive director Ilia Darchiashvili and Gurjaani governor Gia Gergidze.

Works for rehabilitation of “Telavis Khevi” on Ketevan Tsamebuli Street and construction of administrative building are ongoing in Telavi
The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia of the Minsitry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is implementing World Bank funded project for rehabilitation of “Telavis Khevi” existing on Ketevan Tsamebuli Street in Telavi, cost of works amounts to GEL 1 108 914,99. Concurrently, in Telavi works at the cost of over GEL 900 thousand are ongoing for construction of the administrative building, which is funded from the state budget. There are some 40 persons employed at both project sites. Today, Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili, Mayor of Telavi, Platon Kalmakhelidze and Majority Deputy of Telavi, Gela Samkharauli were visiting works in progress.

Population will be provided with 24 hour water supply as a result of Gurjaani water supply system rehabilitation
Gurjaani water supply system rehabilitation is implemented by MDF the project is financed by EIB and total cost of the works consists of GEL 3 277 824,94. Today MDF executive director Ilia Darchiashvili along with local government representatives visited water supply system works. 45 workmen are hired on civil works; as a result of the project implementation Gurjaani population will be provided with 24 hour water supply. Project is coordinated by MDF and United Water Company of Georgia. Gurjaani water supply system rehabilitation if financed by UN and EIB.
