Progress of internal roads and bridges rehabilitation works in Tetriskaro municipality

In Tetritskaro municipality rehabilitation of internal roads and bridges are implemented by MDF. Project is financed by World Bank and cost amounts to GEL 2 379 873,00. Internal roads had not been rehabilitated since 1980 in Tetriskaro municipality. Accordingly roads are out of order and uncomfortable for movement. As a result of rehabilitation transportation for 1400 families living in Tetritskaro municipality will become safe and comfortable. Today ongoing works were visited by MDF executive director Juansher Burchuladze who went into conversation with employees.

Shoreline Protection Project Backed by the ADB will be Implemented in Batumi

Today, a Loan Agreement was executed between Georgia and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for implementing the “Sustainable Urban Transport Investment Program- Project 4”. The document was signed by Nodar Khaduri, Minister of Finance of Georgia and Yesim Elhan-Kayalar, ADB Country Director for Georgia. Batumi shoreline protection project will be funded under this tranche. The project will be implemented by the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia. On the same day, a Project Agreement was made between the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia and the ADB. The project document was signed by Juansher Burchuladze, Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia and Yesim Elhan-Kayalar, ADB Country Director for Georgia. To this effect, the Asian Development Bank will allocate funds to the sum of USD 20 million.

Within the framework of public and private sectors partnership MDF will support ltd Shukhman Vines Georgia in road, water supply and drainage systems arrangement.

By World Bank financial support within the framework of public and private sectors partnership MDF supported Shukhman Vines Georgia in infrastructure arrangement. In particular 1 km road up to the hotel was rehabilitated, water supply and drainage systems were arranged which resulted in creation of additional 50 workplaces in the company and expanded business. Today government and World Bank representatives opened advanced hotel and rehabilitated infrastructure.

The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and its Entities in Charge Updated the Public on their 3-Year Activities

Today, in the Tbilisi History Museum “Karvasla”, the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia held a presentation of the report of 3-year period activities of the Ministry and its entities in charge. The 3-year period report included an extensive narrative concerning infrastructural projects completed by the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia within the reporting period. The presentation was opened by the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Nodar Javakhishvili. The Minister acquainted the public with major infrastructural projects implemented by the Ministry from 2013 to present day. Besides, he discussed some large-scale ongoing and planned projects and performed institutional activities targeted at regional development.

Rehabilitation of two kindergartens in Aspindza municipality

Municipal Development Fund of Georgia has already finalized rehabilitation of #2 kindergarten in Aspindza municipality, rehabilitation of kindergarten #1 is in progress. Cost of the rehabilitation works for kindergarten #2 amounts to GEL 4 97092, and for kindergarten #1 amounts to GEL 403009. Total amount for both kindergartens rehabilitation will amount to GEL 900101.60; Works are implemented by World Bank financial support. Today rehabilitation works was visited by MDF executive director Juansher Burchuladze.

1200 families residing in Akhaltsikhe and Aspindza will be provided with 24 hour water supply

Municipal Development Fund of Georgia with EIB financing implements water supply system rehabilitation in borough Aspindza. Cost of the project is GEL 20700728,84. As a result of project implementation 1200 families residing in Akhaltsikhe and Aspindza will be provided with 24 hour water supply. In addition water quality will be significantly improved and water loss will be reduced. Today MDF executive director Juansher Burchuladze along with local government representatives visited ongoing works.

Sport complex reconstruction rehabilitation is in progress in Kaspi municipality


International standards new sport complex will be constructed in Kaspi municipality. Project is implemented by Municipal Development Fund of Georgia. Sport complex reconstruction rehabilitation works are financed by World Bank with cost of Gel 175737,65. Today ongoing works was visited by MDF executive director Juansher Burchuladze. More than 30 workman was hired on works.

Within the framework of the project following will be arranged: circle hall for struggle competitions, training hall, fitness and basketball halls, old hotel building will be rehabilitated as well.
Old basketball hall has already been dismantled and construction of new hall is in progress. Simultaneously civil works for hotel building are in progress, in particular façade and interior facing.

Municipal Development Fund of Georgia has finalized kindergarten rehabilitation in Tsikhisdziri

From new semester kindergarten being rehabilitated in compliance with international standards will receive 180 children living in village Tsikisdziri. Municipal Development Fund of Georgia has finalized rehabilitation of kindergarten in Mtskheta municipality village Tsikhisdziri. Project was implemented by World Bank financial support with cost of GEL 548 300,06. Today rehabilitated kindergarten was visited by MDF executive director Juansher Burchuladze along with Mtskheta-mtianeti governor Nugzar Kipiani. Kindergarten is fully adapted for disabled children as well.

Water supply system rehabilitation in Likani and Tsgveri is in progress

Municipal Development Fund of Georgia implements water supply system rehabilitation in Likani and Tsagveri. Minister of regional Development and Infrastructure Nodar Javakhishvili, first deputy minister Ilia Darchiashvili, MDF executive director Juansher Burchuladze and UWC director Nikoloz Kizikurashvili visited ongoing works.

After works finalization water supply and drinking water quality will be improved significantly in Likani and Tsagveri. Population of adjacent villages in particular Timotesubani and Daba will also benefit from new system.
Infrastructural work are implemented by EIB financial support and more than GEL 3 million is allocated, approximately 120 person is hired on works most of them locals.

Bodbe -Bodbiskhevi connecting road with length of 5 km is opened

Municipal Development Fund of Georgia has finalized rehabilitation of Bodbe-Bodbiskhevi connecting road with length of 5 km in Signagi municipality. Project was implemented by World Bank financial support with cost of GEL 2 831 384,37. Today rehabilitated road which connects 6 villages to borough Tsnori was opened by minister of Infrastructure and Regional development of Georgia Nodar Javakhishvili, first deputy minister Ilia Darchiashvili, MDF executive director Juansher Burchuladze and local government representatives.
Existing road was entirely amortized and during 30 years has not been rehabilitated. Besides connecting 6 villages to borough Tsnori and Signagi rehabilitated road is also the shortest road connecting to capital city.
