Tourist infrastructure arrangement commenced in New Shaumta, Old Shuamta and in Ikalto
Regional Development Fund of Georgia by World Bank financing implements tourist infrastructure arrangement adjacent to cultural heritage monuments in Kakheiti region in particular Old shuamta, New Shuamta and in Ikalto. Mentioned project is implemented within the framework of regional development project and cost amounts GEL 1 mln 637 thousand.

Tbilisi-Rustavi highway construction is in final phase
Construction of Tbilisi-Rustavi highway is in final phase, by the end current year highway construction on first and third sections will be finalized, by spring 2016 installation of external lighting system and also construction of secondary road will be finalized. Construction of the highway with length of 17.4 km is implemented by MDF and cost amounts to GEL 96 685 218.40. After project completion journey from Tbilisi to Rustavi will take 15 minutes and movement will become more safe and comfortable. Today civil works were visited by MDF executive director and ADB mission representative.

Water Supply System Rehabilitation Works Ongoing in Tetritskaro Municipality
The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia is implementing water supply rehabilitation works in Tetritskaro Municipality. Cost of the project backed by the European Investment Bank amounts to GEL 2 379 976,49. Currently, the Tetritskaro Municipality population is supplied with water according to the schedule, for 4-5 hours a day. After project completion, the Tetritskaro population will have a 24-hour water supply. Today, the Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia, Juansher Burchuladze was visiting the water supply rehabilitation project site; he got into conversation with the people employed at the construction site.

Public discussion was held on water resources management issue
Today in Holiday Inn public discussion was held on water resources management issues. Meeting was organized by USAIDG4G and ISET partnership. Public discussion was attended by government representatives, MDF executive director Juansher Burchuladze and head of donor’s relations and project management unit Tengiz Gogotishvili.

Progress of internal roads and bridges rehabilitation works in Tetriskaro municipality
In Tetritskaro municipality rehabilitation of internal roads and bridges are implemented by MDF. Project is financed by World Bank and cost amounts to GEL 2 379 873,00. Internal roads had not been rehabilitated since 1980 in Tetriskaro municipality. Accordingly roads are out of order and uncomfortable for movement. As a result of rehabilitation transportation for 1400 families living in Tetritskaro municipality will become safe and comfortable. Today ongoing works were visited by MDF executive director Juansher Burchuladze who went into conversation with employees.

Shoreline Protection Project Backed by the ADB will be Implemented in Batumi
Today, a Loan Agreement was executed between Georgia and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for implementing the “Sustainable Urban Transport Investment Program- Project 4”. The document was signed by Nodar Khaduri, Minister of Finance of Georgia and Yesim Elhan-Kayalar, ADB Country Director for Georgia. Batumi shoreline protection project will be funded under this tranche. The project will be implemented by the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia. On the same day, a Project Agreement was made between the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia and the ADB. The project document was signed by Juansher Burchuladze, Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia and Yesim Elhan-Kayalar, ADB Country Director for Georgia. To this effect, the Asian Development Bank will allocate funds to the sum of USD 20 million.

Within the framework of public and private sectors partnership MDF will support ltd Shukhman Vines Georgia in road, water supply and drainage systems arrangement.
By World Bank financial support within the framework of public and private sectors partnership MDF supported Shukhman Vines Georgia in infrastructure arrangement. In particular 1 km road up to the hotel was rehabilitated, water supply and drainage systems were arranged which resulted in creation of additional 50 workplaces in the company and expanded business. Today government and World Bank representatives opened advanced hotel and rehabilitated infrastructure.

The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia and its Entities in Charge Updated the Public on their 3-Year Activities
Today, in the Tbilisi History Museum “Karvasla”, the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia held a presentation of the report of 3-year period activities of the Ministry and its entities in charge. The 3-year period report included an extensive narrative concerning infrastructural projects completed by the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia within the reporting period. The presentation was opened by the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Nodar Javakhishvili. The Minister acquainted the public with major infrastructural projects implemented by the Ministry from 2013 to present day. Besides, he discussed some large-scale ongoing and planned projects and performed institutional activities targeted at regional development.

Rehabilitation of two kindergartens in Aspindza municipality
Municipal Development Fund of Georgia has already finalized rehabilitation of #2 kindergarten in Aspindza municipality, rehabilitation of kindergarten #1 is in progress. Cost of the rehabilitation works for kindergarten #2 amounts to GEL 4 97092, and for kindergarten #1 amounts to GEL 403009. Total amount for both kindergartens rehabilitation will amount to GEL 900101.60; Works are implemented by World Bank financial support. Today rehabilitation works was visited by MDF executive director Juansher Burchuladze.

1200 families residing in Akhaltsikhe and Aspindza will be provided with 24 hour water supply
Municipal Development Fund of Georgia with EIB financing implements water supply system rehabilitation in borough Aspindza. Cost of the project is GEL 20700728,84. As a result of project implementation 1200 families residing in Akhaltsikhe and Aspindza will be provided with 24 hour water supply. In addition water quality will be significantly improved and water loss will be reduced. Today MDF executive director Juansher Burchuladze along with local government representatives visited ongoing works.
