The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure is carrying on monitoring of project implementation process in the regions. Zurab Alavidze was visiting the Dariali Monastery access road project site, where works for road infrastructure arrangement are actively in progress.

Population of Tsalenjikha-Chkhorotsku Municipalities will have a new road. In September, the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia shall complete rehabilitation of the 10km road section. Asphalt pavement will be laid and drainage canals will be arranged in the named road section.

The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia has completed rehabilitation works for the 7km long Askana-Mshvidobauri-Bakhvi road in Ozurgeti Municipality. Cost of the project backed by the European Investment Bank exceeds GEL 3 million. Levan Sukhitashvili, Head of Construction Supervision Unit has inspected the project site.

Construction of sports complex in borough Stepantsminda in Kazbegi municipality is in progress. Works are implemented by MDF in compliance with international standards. Project is financed by European Investment Bank and its total cost exceeds GEL 1,500 000.

The works for arrangement of tourist infrastructure at Ubsisa Monastery undergo implementation by the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia (MDF) with co-financing of the World Bank and the Government of Georgia. Partial restoration works for roofing and gateway are being carried out simultaneously. MDF Representative Levan Sukhitashvili has conducted the site visit. The project aims at contributing to maintenance of cultural heritage monuments and rendering assistance to development of tourist infrastructure throughout Georgia.

The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia rehabilitates the Administrative Building for Ozurgeti Representation of Folklore State Center of Georgia. Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Zurab Alavidze has conducted the site visit aimed at inspecting progress of works.

The Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) of Kobuleti has been placed into service. The MDF representative Levan Sukhitashvili has conducted the site visit to inspect the plant. Due to commissioning of the new WWTP the sanitary sewage will not enter the sea any more what in its turn will improve significantly the sanitary condition of the coastline, reduce adverse impact on environment and impede dissemination of various infectious diseases. The total cost of the project exceeds GEL 5 800 000. The Project was implemented with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

MDF is rehabilitating kindergarten #7 located on King Tamar street in Kashuri. Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Zurab Alavidze visited rehabilitation works.
Building was amortized and required rehabilitation. After completion of rehabilitation works kindergarten building will conform to international standards.
