The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRDI) schedules to construct the multi-functional ice arena in Bakuriani. The concept plan of the project was reviewed at the Municipal Development Fund (MDF).
Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Mr. Grigol Katsia, Acting Executive Director of MDF Mr. Juansher Burchuladze, management of the Company: Mountain Resorts of Georgia and concerned parties were in attendance of the meeting.

The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia has completed rehabilitation of Gantiadi-Darakovi-Artsivani-Kushi connecting road in Tsalka and is commencing Kushi-Nardevani road rehabilitation project. Juansher Burchuladze - Acting Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia was visiting the completed project site.

In village Asureti of Tetritskaro Municipality first stage works for rehabilitation of Schwab Street are under completion. Juansher Burchuladze – Acting Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia visited the project site.

The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) starts the new infrastructural project in Katskhi. There has been scheduled construction of the cells and a Service Center by Katskhi Column to date. Within the project, the accommodation of priests undergo reconstruction, whilst the tourist space and yard are being improved as well. The potable water reservoir is also envisaged to be arranged and appropriate network to be improved there under the project that will enable the monks as well as up to twenty households of so called Kharatishvili Settlement to be provided with water supply.

Restoration of the cableway systems and stations in Chiatura keeps on proceeding. The cable transport has been one of the basic means of movement over mountainous relief of Chiatura since the 50-ies of the 20th century.
The first passenger cableway in former Soviet Unit was built exactly in Chiatura. For three (3) tens of years the lines and the rail gondolas had not been meeting the modern requirements, representing some threat to passengers. Therefore, operation of the passenger cableway was stopped in 2016.

Rehabilitation of Batoni Castle (Museum and the site) in Telavi City has been finalized. The Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili has opened the renovated Batoni Museum. The attendants of the opening ceremony were the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRDI) Maia Tskitishvili, Minister of Culture and Sports Mikheil Giorgadze, World Bank (WB) Representative Sarah G. Michael, Director of the Municipal Development Fund (MDF) Gagi Buadze, Governor-Authorized Representative to Kakheti Irakli Kadagishvili and other officials.

The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia has completed major part of tourist infrastructure arrangement works next to Khertvisi Fortress.
The World Bank funded project at the cost of GEL 1,7 million implemented by the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia was launched last year.

Activities for preparation for winter season are actively ongoing in Bakuriani. The Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia together with the management of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia and Mountain Resorts was visiting the project site.

The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRDI) has commenced several infrastructural projects in Abastumani. Rehabilitation of historical houses and reconstruction of Baghdati-Abastumani linking road undergoes implementation at present stage.

Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure – Ilia Begiashvili together with local authorities was visiting the ongoing project site in Zugdidi Botanical Garden. The World Bank backed project under implementation by the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia was initiated this year; its total cost averages GEL 12 million.
