The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is commencing Achkva River-bed rehabilitation works in Kobuleti municipality. Tornike Rizhvadze, Head of Ajara Autonomous Republic Government and Giorgi Shengelia, Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia introduced the public to project details.

Works for arrangement of wells in Gori, Kaspi, and Kareli municipality conflict zone bordering villages are under completion. Cost of the European Investment Bank backed project under implementation by the Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia averages GEL 6 million.

The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is implementing the project for construction of wastewater treatment plant in Telavi. The SIDA has extended a grant for project implementation, project cost averages GEL 12.4 million.

The biddings for construction of the shelters in Kakheti and Samtskhe-Javakheti regions will be announced until the end of the year, and in the other regions – next year. Shelters in all regions are scheduled to be constructed in 2019.

The project undergoes implementation with funding from the European Investment Bank (EIB) and its cost amounts to approximately GEL 1,500 000.

At the meeting the concerned parties were enabled to get familiar with the project details prior to the Bidding announcement.

Presentation of the Children’s Park “New Mziuri” project was held in Mziuri. Park rehabilitation project to be implemented by the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia was launched by Kakha Kaladze, Mayor of Tbilisi City, Maya Tskitishvili, Vice-Premier and Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Giorgi Shengelia, Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia and representatives of European Investment Bank.

At 14:00 p.m. of November 12th, the Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRDI) will hold the Open Day at MDF Office (address: #150 Aghmashenebeli Ave.) with regard to preparation of design-cost estimate documentation for construction of the Dolls Museum on Mziuri Park site.

The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is implementing the project of assistance to the “Educational-Scientific Center for Bridge Testing” operating under the Technical University of Georgia. The Project is backed by the Asian Development Bank and its overall cost averages GEL 6.5 million.
