Bakuriani Bypass Road under Active Phase of Construction
Construction of Bakuriani bypass road undergoes implementation by the Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRDI). The project implementation is funded by the European Investment Bank (EIB) and its costs exceeds GEL 6 million. Executive Director of MDF Giorgi Shengelia inspected the project progress on site.

MDF to Conduct an Open Day for Representatives of Road Companies
On June 7, at 15:00 the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia will hold an Open Day at their office (address: #150 Aghmashenebli avenue) for representatives of road companies. At the meeting, Giorgi Shengelia, Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia will, for keeping representatives of companies abreast, update them on planned road projects.

The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) has announced the Bidding for construction of the Museum of Regional Studies. The project undergoes implementation with financial support from the Government of Georgia and its tentative cost exceeds GEL 5.5 million.

Boulevard Rehabilitation Project Launched in Ureki
The Municipal Development Fund has commenced rehabilitation works for the boulevard and and its adjoining central streets in Ozurgeti Municipality Village Ureki. The project is backed by the Government of Georgia and its cost averages GEL 5 million.

Infectious Diseases Hospital Design to be Prepared within a 6 Month Period
The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia has revealed the winner company for Infectious Diseases, AIDS and Clinical Immunology Research Center (IDACIRC) design works. Successful bidder is the Georgian Company “Apex Studio 1”. The Company undertakes to present the IDACIRC design within a 6 month period.

Tourist infrastructure to be arranged by Paravani Lake and St. Nino Monastery
The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) has scheduled to arrange the tourist infrastructure at Paravani Lake and St. Nino Monastery in Javakheti, Ninotsminda Municipality with financial support from the Government of Georgia (GoG). The design works have been finalized as of to date and the construction bidding is to be announced in the near future.

“Cavalry Building” restoration project in Borjomi and its adapting for the Museum to commence
The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRDI) is to commence the project for restoration/rehabilitation of the cavalry building and its adaptation for the Museum building. The project will be implemented with financial support from the World Bank (WB) and its tentative cost amounts to GEL 3 million.

The Project Management Institute (PMI) has held the official ceremony for opening of representation to Georgia. In attendance of the event was Executive Director of MDF Giorgi Shengelia, co-founder of PMI representation to Georgia Lela Machaidze, top managers and members of local and international, private and public sectors and up to 200 professionals working in the field of project management.

Complete Rehabilitation of Leo Pilpani Folklore Center in Mestia finalized
Vice Premier, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia Maya Tskitishvili, Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia (MDF) Giorgi Shengelia, Adviser to Prime Minister of Georgia Sozar Subari and representatives of local authorities held the ceremonial opening for rehabilitated building of Leo Pilpani National and Folklore Theatre in Mestia.

Local History Museum to be built in Oni Town
As per decision of the Government of Georgia, Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRDI) is to build the Local History Museum in Oni Town. The Local History Museum was opened in 1984 in Oni, but the Museum was actually left under open air due to heavy earthquake of 1991 and wealthy collection of exhibits being there have been placed at an emergency building as of to date.
