Municipal Development Fund of Georgia under the Second Regional Development Program (RDP 2), supported by the World Bank, is implementing a sub-project – “Reconstruction of the Monks Cells and Service Building at Katskhi Pillar”.

Public consultation meeting on Environmental and Social Management Plan

On August 9, 2017 at 12:30, a Public consultation meeting will be held in Chiatura Municipality, Katskhi Pillar Monastery regarding Environmental and Social Management Plan of the Subproject Reconstruction of Monks cells and service building at Katskhi Pillar.

Sustainable Urban Transport Investment Program SUTIP 3 (ADB Loan 3063-GEO) aims at development of the efficient, reliable and affordable urban infrastructure and service improvement.

Project envisages rehabilitation of Ananuri architectural complex adjacent territory. In particular following shall be arranged: small scale park with stone paths, benches and lampposts, trash bins, parking area, asphalt covering.

The Sub-project – „ Zugdidi Botanical Garden Rehabilitation“, is being implemented under the Second Regional and Municipal Development Project (RMIDPS) supported by the World Bank. The SP envisages full rehabilitation of the botanical garden.

On July 7, 2017 at 14:00, a public consultation meeting on Environmental Review of the subproject “Arrangement of Tourism Infrastructure at Vani Kvabebi (caves) in Aspindza Municipality” will be held in the administration building of Aspindza Municipal Gamgeoba.

Social Audit Report On Abbreviated Resettlement Action Plan for Second Regional Development Project – Integrated Revitalization Of Cultural Heritage Site in Gelati Monastery

Document prepared by External Monitoring Specialist, that confirms MDFG carried out the resettlement procedures in accordance with requirements of ADB SPS (2009) and Georgian legislation on the Tbilisi – Rustavi Urban Link Section 2 Part A.

The SP “Arrangement of Tourism Infrastructure at Khertvisi Fortress Complex” was implemented under the Third Regional Development Project (RDP III), supported by World Bank. The SP envisaged restoration-reconstruction of an old gateway, arrangement of administration office, café, tourist information center, water supply, power supply and wastewater systems for tourist infrastructure, car parking and installation of biological treatment units, car parking area, construction of a public toilet, rehabilitation of access road to Khertvisi Fortress andLandscaping of Khertvisi Fortress area.

The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia (MDF) is implementing the World Bank-sponsored Second Regional and Municipal Infrastructure Development Project (RMIDP II). The main objective of the Project is to improve the capacity of local governments to carry out their primary function, related to rendering the proper services to the population and the accountability for implementation of the infrastructure investment through access to the effective funding sources to the local governments. Across the country, within the scopes of the RMIDP II, the municipal infrastructure rehabilitation / reconstruction is being carried out on the basis of funding the individual sub-projects.
