The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRD) has conducted the Open Day for the scheduled infrastructural projects of large-scale. In the course of the meeting, MRDI representatives provided Construction Companies with the information on the planned Biddings that MDF is to announce till the end of the year.

Maya Tskitishvili – Vice-Premier of Georgia, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, Davit Tabidze - First Deputy Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia, Irakli Kadagishvili - Authorized Representative of the State in Kakheti Region, Davit Songhulashvili – Majority Member of Parliament from Gurjaani, inspected tourist infrastructure construction work sites in Sighnaghi and Gurjaani Municipalities.

The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRDI) proceeds with the Schools’ Construction and Rehabilitation Program. MDF has already commenced announcing of biddings for rehabilitating the schools in Guria and Kakheti Regions. The project envisages rehabilitation of 8 schools in Guria Region, while 5 schools are considered to be rehabilitated in Kakheti Region.

The Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia has completed the project for integrated rehabilitation-reconstruction of infrastructure damaged as a result of June 13, 2015 natural disaster. Cost of the 9-component project funded by the European Investment Bank (EIB) exceeded GEL 50,6 million.

The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia has announced bidding for construction of soccer stadium designed for 1500 spectators. Procurement is funded by Government of Georgia.

A school designed for 150 pupils is under construction in village Mejvriskhevi, in the vicinity of accupation zone; to this effect, about GEL 2, 400, 000 will be invested from the budget and in autumn pupils will avail themselves of all necessary conditions required for high-qualiity educational process. Giorgi Gakharia, Prime-Minister of Georgia inspected progress of construction works together with Levan Davitashvili, Minister of Environment and Agriculture.

Rehabilitation of Aleksandre Kazbegi Historical Museum in borough Stepanstminda is being implemented by Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRDI) with the World Bank (WB) support. The project value exceeds GEL 4 million.

The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is implementing the project for road bridge construction over river Lochini and road rehabilitation in Brotseula Settlement of Gardabani Municipality. Cost of the EIB funded project averages GEL 2 million.
