Municipal Development Fund to announce a new bidding for rehabilitation of Velistsikhe
The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) has decided to terminate the Contract for Rehabilitation of the Central Part of Velistsikhe Village, signed with the Contractor Company – JV of “IN-SI” Ltd. and “Java” Ltd. The reason for that decision has become the failure of those companies to fulfill their obligations, notwithstanding numerous warnings.
The project under implementation with the financial support from the Asian Development Bank (ADB), was commenced in the first quarter of 2022. The contract termination process will be conducted in full compliance with the rules and regulations of the donor organization.
Simultaneously with that process, the international Supervision Company EPTISA will begin a detailed description and inventory of the works, accomplished on the site. That is necessary for the scope of work performed to be defined precisely, and the list of the remainder work to be compiled that will be required for the preparation of a new bidding.
MDF would like to emphasize that each stage of the process – termination of the contract and preparation of the new bidding is being carried out in close coordination with, and with the direct participation of ADB.
