Minister of Infrastructure meets with parents of students from Tbilisi Public School #89

Minister of Infrastructure Revaz Sokhadze, together with Director of the Municipal Development Fund (MDF) Beka Urushadze, Governor of Isani District Akaki Khlabustov, and Majoritarian of the City Council Kakha Labuchidze, met with the administration of Tbilisi Public School #89 and parents of students of that school.

 

The Minister provided them with the detailed, up-to-date information on the progress of school construction, and noted that the Ministry continues to work actively to resolve the current issues, including at the legislative level.

 

“We do understand your pain and anger. We would like to convey our sincere apologies. Unfortunately, many schools are found to be in a similar situation due to unreasonable deadlines and prolonged processes, which is not correct. We are actively working to avoid bureaucratic delays and commence the construction of this school soon. In addition, we are taking responsibility to monitor the pace of construction so that the school to be built efficiently and in a timely manner”, Revaz Sokhadze said during that meeting.

 

As per Minister of Infrastructure, MDF will make every effort to ensure the timely commencement of construction of Tbilisi Public School #89, taking into account the interests of students.

 

MDF will provide the parents of the school students and the administration with additional information on the progress of the project. The information will be provided stage by stage, in accordance with the established procedure.

 

Based on the conclusion of Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau, the building of Tbilisi Public School #89 will be completely demolished, and a new building will be built in its place.
