Competitions announced for design of a multifunctional sports complex in Zugdidi and a swimming pool in Senaki
The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Minsitry of Infrastructure has announced competitions for the design of two new sports complexes in Samegrelo.
The multifunctional complex of Zugdidi will be designed for 1,000 spectators and will include training halls, an outdoor mini-football pitch, a chess area, tennis and padel tennis courts.
In Senaki, there is to be built a new indoor swimming pool of international standards. There is to be built a grandstand for at least 200 spectators. The sports and children’s pools, traning halls, changing rooms, and physiotherapy rooms are also to be arranged there.
Both complexes shall house the medical and administrative facilities, conference halls, and commercial spaces. Modern parking, security, and lighting systems are also to be arranged there.
The implementation of the multifunctional sports complex project in Zugdidi, and the swimming pool one in Senaki will promote a healthy lifestyle, encourage young people to be involved in sports activities, and contribute to the economic development of the region.
