Architectural Concepts for Arrangement of Recreational Spaces Considered at the Ministry of Infrastructure

A meeting of the competition commission was held at the Ministry of Infrastructure, within the framework of which were discussed architectural concepts for arrangement of parks and recreational spaces in several municipalities. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Infrastructure Revaz Sokhadze, Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund Beka Urushadze, Deputy Ministers, as well as mayors of the relevant municipalities and their deputies.

 

The commission reviewed 9 architectural concepts prepared for the Kaspi Park, which include children's entertainment and recreation zones, cafes, an amphitheater, parking spaces and multifunctional recreational areas; 4 proposals submitted for arrangement of the park planned in Gurjaani, with emphasis on sports and recreation zones, children's playgrounds, parking spaces, pedestrian and bicycle paths; and architectural concepts for arrangement of a new riverside recreational and leisure space in Kutaisi.

 

The competition commission is to evaluate the concepts in terms of their functionality, environmental compatibility, and observance of modern urban standards. The final decision will be announced in the coming days.

 

Development of new parks and recreational spaces is to significantly improve the quality of life of local residents, create a safe and modern environment for visitors, and contribute to strengthening the tourism and economic potential of the regions.
