Meeting on construction of Tbilisi Public School #179

The process of the school construction was discussed during the meeting.

 

The Minister personally informed the teachers that the Ministry of Infrastructure has assumed full responsibility for the project implementation following the abolition of the Educational and Science Infrastructure Development Agency (ESIDA).

 

He noted that the Ministry is aware of the current situation of teachers and students, since the educational process is temporarily taking place in another school that creates extra challenges. As per him, the main priority is to create a high-quality and safe school infrastructure, and it is important the teachers, students and their parents to have realistic anticipations and expectations with regard to the construction timeline.

 

As Minister stated, all possible resources will be used so as to ensure the new school building, designed for 1000 students, to be finalized in high-quality manner, to meet the modern standards, and to enable the school to accept the students by the 2027 academic year.

 

A representative of the new school’s construction company was also in attendance of the meeting.
