Meeting with the Design Contest Winner Companies
Minister of Infrastructure Revaz Sokhadze, together with the Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund Beka Urushadze met with representatives of the contest winners for the design of stadiums and multifunctional sports complexes.
At the meeting held at the Ministry of Infrastructure were discussed technical and procedural issues of sports’ facilities design, including details of functional arrangement of the stadium surfaces, stands, halls, facades, and pools.
The Minister congratulated the participating companies on their victory in the contests and noted that for the first time in the history of Georgia, a large-scale development of sports infrastructure is underway in all municipalities concurrently.
Revaz Sokhadze stressed the need to meet the design deadlines, which, in turn, will have a direct impact on the timely commencement of the construction process.
Representatives of the Football Federation and the Parliamentary Sports Committee also attended the meeting.
