Finalized rehabilitation of Khashuri Public School #2

The reconstruction and rehabilitation of Davit Kakiashvili Public School #2 in Khashuri has been finalized.

 

The Public School, designed for 440 students, has been upgraded in compliance with international standards, and has been fully adapted to the needs of those with disabilities.

 

Minister of Infrastructure Revaz Sokhadze, and Executive Director of Municipal Development Fund (MDF) Beka Urushadze, visited the site of completed works. 

 

There have been arranged the classrooms, sports ground and a yard site; Heating, water supply and sewage systems have been arranged as well. The energy efficient works have been carried out – heating of roof and walls to ensure the electricity saving and maintenance of warmth in winter. 

 

The school was built in the 70-ies of the previous century, and had not undergone rehabilitation since then. The building was in an emergency condition and required an urgent rehabilitation.

 

The works have been executed with the World Bank (WB) loan and the state budget co-funding, exceeding GEL 5.2 million.
