The development project of Tbilisi National Park is in its final stage

The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Infrastructure is soon to complete the full rehabilitation of Tbilisi National Park. Within the project scope, renovation works have been carried out across the entire park area. Construction of a visitors’ center, walking trails, rest pavilions, picnic zones, and mountain shelters has been completed. Currently, minor additional works are ongoing.
The park rehabilitation is funded with GEL 5.8 million, sourced from a World Bank loan.
Tbilisi National Park is the protected area closest to the capital. Its advantages include proximity to the city, rich biodiversity, numerous cultural and historical monuments, and the possibility to organize tourist activities in all four seasons.
After the project’s completion, the capital will gain another fully equipped, multifunctional recreational zone. The improved infrastructure will make the park more attractive to both tourists and local visitors.
Once completed, the park’s new infrastructure will be transferred to the Protected Areas Agency for management.
