Construction-Rehabilitation of Dusheti Kindergartens Underway

Construction and rehabilitation of kindergartens in Dusheti Municipality is ongoing. The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Infrastructure is implementing construction-rehabilitation of 4 kindergartens of international standards in Dusheti Municipality.
The projects undergo execution with the funding from the Government of Georgia (GOG) and the cost of all four kindergartens amounts to GEL 7 million. In total, MDF is implementing construction and rehabilitation of 26 kindergartens in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region.
Brand new kindergartens for children will be built in Ananuri and Pasanauri Villages of Dusheti Municipality, while the existing kindergartens in Choporti Village and Zhinvali Borough of Dusheti Municipality will undergo complete rehabilitation. All four kindergartens will serve up to 400 children.
“Now we are in Ananuri Borough, where a kindergarten designated for 50 children is to be built. In general, 26 kindergartens are planned to be built in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti Region, the total cost of which is estimated at GEL 46 million. In my opinion, these projects will significantly change the local environment, and the social conditions of the children will be greatly improved. During the construction assessment, we had certain recommendations that the construction company should take into account, and after a certain period of time, we will come back and check everything” – said Beka Urushadze, Executive Director of MDF.
At this stage, the construction and rehabilitation of 6 kindergartens have already been completed. MDF has allocated more than GEL 46 million for Kindergartens Program in Mtskheta-Mtianeti only.
Minister of Infrastructure Revaz Sokhadze together with Executive Director of MDF Beka Urushadze and representatives of the State Governor’s Administration inspected the progress of construction works on site.
The playrooms, bedrooms, restrooms and courtyards are to be arranged there within the framework of the Kindergartens Construction Project. The project envisages improvement of internal and external spaces, recreation areas, utilities and WCs. The kindergarten buildings will be fully adapted for those with special needs. As a result of projects implementation, kindergarteners will be able to attend the kindergartens that meet international standards and are located close to their homes.
