Sports Complex named after Lasha Bekauri Opens Up in Arkhiloskalo Village
The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure (MRDI) has completed construction of a sports complex in Arkhiloskalo Village of Dedoplistskaro Municipality.
The sports complex of Arkhiloskalo, named after two-time Olympic Champion Lasha Bekauri, was opened today.
The sports complex of modern standard includes a hall for judo and wrestling with a capacity of 100 spectators and a multifunctional hall for physical training and weightlifting.
The complex is equipped with central heating and cooling systems, locker rooms and showers for athletes, separate rooms for coaches, referees and doctors, rooms for conference and administrative staff.
The construction of the sports complex was financed with GEL 2,363,980 from the state budget.
In addition to physical training of athletes and amateurs, the modern sports complex will be able to organize various tournaments and competitions.
The new complex will contribute to the establishment and promotion of a healthy lifestyle among children and youth of the Municipality.
