Municipal Development fund of Georgia will implement rehabilitation of Zestaponi water supply system

Municipal Development Fund of Georgia has announced tender on town Zestapony water supply rehabilitation works. More than 5000 citizens will be provided with improved water supply system and water quality after project implementation. Cost for construction works is 3,983,171 GEL. Government of Georgia has received loan from European Investment Bank for funding second phase of water infrastructure modernization project. Rehabilitation of Zestaponi water supply system will be implemented precisely within the scope of mentioned loan, which is highly important for Zestaponi citizens
Within the scope of European Investment Bank loan, Municipal Development Fund of Georgia will implement water supply system rehabilitation in 28 towns of Georgia, 40 million Euro is allocated for improvement of water supply system.
Following works will be implemented within the scope of Zestaponi water supply system rehabilitation project: Earth works, Installation of steel and polyethylene pipes and asphalt covering. As an outcome of the first stage works, total length 22km of water supply network will be rehabilitated. Mentioned works will take place in the central part of town, particularly at Tamar Mepe Avenue and on adjacent streets.
Project also envisages the following works: Pressured water line’s last 500 meter replacement, repairing of 1600 m³ and 500 m³ capacity “300 Aragveli” reservoirs, dismantling old pumping station at hospital territory and construction of the new one. Total replacement of pressured main line Khokhoula’s damaged 150 m section. Individual water meters installation for 1400 subscribers (customers).
Works will last for 18 months and after its finalization more than 5000 citizens of town Zestaponi will have improved water supply and water supply schedule will be extended from 7 AM till 12 PM.
For the purpose of implementation of the mentioned project, Municipal Development Fund of Georgia invites qualified organizations eligible for participation in the competitive trading who should present competition proposals in sealed envelopes.
