Full Refurbishment of 3 Schools in Lanchkhuti Municipality
The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRDI) keeps on implementing the Schools Construction and Rehabilitation Program.
MDF finalized full refurbishment of Public School №3 and the ones of Villages Lesa and Guliani in Lanckhuti Municipality.
The projects were funded with GEL 8.6 million by Government of Georgia (GOG).
The First Deputy Executive Director of MDF Giorgi Tsibadze along with the representatives of local authorities visited the renovated schools.
The schools rehabilitated as per international standards are to accept up to 800 pupils.
The renovated schools are fully adapted for the needs of people with disabilities. There were arranged classrooms, toilets, sports grounds and the schoolyard area. Heating, water supply and waste water systems were also installed there.
The pupils of those schools had had to be educated under rough conditions, however as a result of projects’ finalization, they apply the proper infrastructure and study in well-furnished environment.
MDF of MRDI has completed construction and refurbishment of 67 new schools within the Educational Infrastructure Program. The educational program is backed financially by GOG and donor organizations (CEB and NEFCO). The total cost of the program exceeds GEL 300 million.
MDF has been involved in Educational Infrastructure Construction and Rehabilitation Program since 2019.
