10 Buses Procured for Bakuriani by the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia
The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia has revealed the winner company to procure 10 passenger buses for Bakuriani.
Cost of bus procurement project backed by the European Reconstruction and Development Bank is equal to Euro 1 million. Population and visitors of Bakuriani resort will be able to benefit from the new buses onwards of the fall season.
In addition to passenger buses, the MDF is intending to procure snow cleaning, ski trail arranging, solid waste management and congestion preventing-neutralizing equipment for Bakuriani. Bidding on procurement of above-listed equipment is completed, and currently there is bid evaluation process underway.
The Municipal Development Fund of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is undertaking a number of important infrastructural projects in Bakuriani. Projects for construction of Bakuriani by-pass road, rehabilitation of Mitarbi and Kokhta cableway access road, arrangement of parking lot in Didveli are completed, the new two-storey police station construction and Bakuriani circular road rehabilitation projects are also completed. Bakuriani urban regeneration project is currently ongoing along with the recreational park tourist infrastructure development project.
Infrastructural projects in progress and completed in village Bakuriani are to promote increase of tourist flow and employment of local population.
