Winner of Bidding for development of Mtskheta General Layout is identified

The partnership “Akolisi” - uniting 8 design teams made up of specialists of appropriate fields, has been identified as the bidding winner organization. 

The UNESCO had enrolled the historical monuments (Jvari Monastery, Svetitskhoveli Cathedral ad Samtavro) of Mtskheta Town into the list of the world cultural heritage monuments, because of what  the historical town of Mtskheta gained the special significance. Aimed at avoiding non-systematic and chaotic development of the town, through active cooperation with the UNESCO there was developed the document which is to maintain the historical-cultural value of the town, on the one hand and provide development of its viability, on the other hand. The Bidding for preparation of spatial-territorial development management documentation for Mtskheta Town was announced by MDF of MRDI in November 2018.
