MDF to commence construction of houses for IDPs

The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia (MDF) conducted the Open Day with regard to construction of residential buildings for IDPs and presented the biddings to be announced to the construction companies in prior. 

These days MDF will announce the bidding for construction of houses for IDPs in Zugdidi and Tskaltubo Towns.
“At present stage we have scheduled construction of 9 buildings for 780 IDP households. Within the project there will be installed the water and gas heaters at each apartment, there will be arranged the outdoor infrastructure, squares, recreation spaces and playgrounds for children. It is planned also the access roads to the residential houses and parking lots to be arranged there” – Executive Director of MDF Giorgi Shengelia stated.
The Open Day was attended by Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Maya Tskitishvili, Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labor, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia Davit Sergeenko and Executive Director of MDF Giorgi Shengelia.
MDF aims at the bidding procedures to become more transparent and effective. The concerned companies will be enabled to be familiarized with the projects prior to announcement of the bidding, get prepared and open and equal conditions of competitive environment to be provided.
