New Sports Complex being constructed in borough Stepantsminda

 The Sports Complex is being constructed in borough Stepantsminda of Kazbegi Municipality. The works undergo execution by the Municipal Development Fund (MDF) with financial suport from the European Investment Bank (EIB) at the cost of approximately GEL 1,500 000. Deputy Minsiter of Regional Development and Infrastructure Mr. Grigol Katsia and Executive Director of MDF Mr. Giorgi Shengelia visited the site to inspect the works ongoing. 

The new building-structures undero construction within the project. Upon the project finalization those interested in sports will be enabled to exercise at the environment with amenities and hold the tournaments in various athletic disciplines.  As per requirement of local population there has been added the climbing wall to the project for amateurs of mounting climbing.  
“Unfortunately the Company does not fulfill its committment in a due and qualitative manner, conditioning lagging behind. We have instructed them and installed the surveillance cameras to observe the construction process. Unless the formed situation is improved, we will  have to replace the Contractor” – Mr. Shengelia has stated.
