Heavy machinery operating in natural disaster zone - Gardabani Municipality
The representatives of the Municipal Development Fund (MDF) have arrived in Gardabani Municipality and are getting familiarized with the situation formed. MDF is executing construction of the second section of 6.8 km length on Tbilisi-Rustavi Highway, where from the part of the machinery have been removed to the site of natural disaster.
Heavy precipitation of yesterday evening conditioned flooding of residential houses, being in the settlement near Tbilisi-Rustavi highway. The water level in flooded canal reached 1.5 m. The rescuers helped people that had been left in the settlement, to leave the site by means of boats.
The canal has been cleaned off silt since the morning by applying of heavy machinery that will provide water to be removed from the site.
